A utility service

Lumara Links is provided by Lumara as a general-purpose utility for shortening web addresses and generating QR codes. It is offered free of charge, for convenience, on an “as is” basis.

Responsibility for shortened links

Short links are created by the people who use the service, not by Lumara. Each user is solely responsible for the addresses they shorten, for where those links lead, and for how and where they share them.

Responsibility for QR code content

QR codes are generated from the content a user enters. Users are solely responsible for that content and for checking that a code works as intended before printing, publishing or distributing it. Lumara is not responsible for costs arising from a code that was not tested, such as reprinting.

No endorsement of third-party destinations

A short link or QR code made with Lumara Links can lead to any website. Lumara does not review, control, endorse or take responsibility for third-party destinations, their content, their accuracy, their security or their privacy practices. The existence of a Lumara short link says nothing about the trustworthiness of the page behind it.

Use the same care with a short link as with any other link, especially when it arrives unexpectedly.

Advertising

Some pages show advertisements, which are always labelled “Advertisement”. They are supplied by a third-party advertising network that selects them automatically; we do not choose individual ads and do not see them in advance. An advertisement is not a recommendation by Lumara, and we are not responsible for the products, services or websites advertised. If an ad seems misleading or harmful, please tell us using the address at the end of this page.

Availability is not guaranteed

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that it will be available at all times, that short links will work indefinitely, or that the service will be free of errors. Links may be disabled or removed as described in our Terms of Service.

Statistics are estimates

Click statistics are provided for general information. Figures such as unique visitors are estimates, and automated traffic cannot always be excluded. The demo figures shown on the Analytics page before you look up a link are samples and do not describe real visitors.

No professional advice

Articles on our blog are general information to help you use links and QR codes well. They are not legal, marketing or technical advice for your particular situation.

If you believe a Lumara short link is being used for something harmful or unlawful, please tell us at shortener@lumara.chat. Include the short link, and we will review it.
