Cookie Policy
Lumara Links sets one necessary cookie of its own. Advertising cookies from our ad partner are used only if you accept them. How to change your choice.

Summary
Lumara Links uses one strictly necessary cookie, which remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner. Lumara Links itself sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The tool pages and the blog show advertising from a third-party network, which may set advertising cookies, but only after you accept them in the cookie banner. The site also stores two preferences in your browser's Local Storage so the site looks the way you chose on your next visit; nothing in that storage identifies you, and it is not sent to our servers.
Cookies and Local Storage
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back with later requests. Local Storage is a similar browser feature with one important difference: what a site saves there stays on your device and is not sent to the server automatically.
The cookie banner
When you first visit, a banner asks which categories of cookies you accept. The banner is provided by CookieYes, a consent management service. It is loaded from CookieYes's servers, so CookieYes receives the technical data any website request involves, such as your IP address and browser type, and it keeps a record of the choice you make so that we can show that consent was asked for and respected.
Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are used. You can accept all categories, reject the optional ones, or choose category by category.
Strictly necessary cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie:
- cookieyes-consent — set by the cookie banner to remember your consent choices, so the banner does not ask again on every page. It contains an anonymous consent ID and your choice for each category, and is kept for up to one year.
Our hosting or security provider may also set a strictly necessary cookie in some situations, for example to distinguish genuine visitors from automated attacks. Such cookies are used only to deliver and protect the service. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
Preference storage (Local Storage)
We save the following items in Local Storage:
- lumara-locale — the language you selected, so the site opens in that language next time.
- lumara-theme — your choice of light theme, dark theme or the system setting.
These items stay until you clear them. They contain only the setting itself, for example “ar” or “dark”.
Analytics cookies
We do not use analytics cookies. Click statistics for short links are counted on our server when a link is opened, without placing anything on the visitor's device. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is recorded.
If we introduce analytics that rely on cookies or similar technologies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Advertising cookies
The URL shortener, QR code generator, analytics and blog pages show advertising provided by Adsterra, an advertising network. The ad is requested only after you accept the “Advertisement” category in the cookie banner. If you reject it, or do not answer, no ad is loaded and no advertising cookie is set.
Once you have accepted, the advertising network and the partners it works with may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. These are third-party cookies: they are set from the network's own domains, not by Lumara Links, and their names and lifetimes are decided by the network and can change. They are used to choose which ads to show, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ads and to detect fraud. The cookie banner's settings list the advertising cookies found on the site.
The homepage, the About and Contact pages, the legal pages and short-link redirects do not show ads.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the cookie button shown on the site.
You can also clear Local Storage and cookies for this site in your browser's settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”. The site will then return to the default language and theme, and the cookie banner will ask for your choice again. Blocking storage entirely will not stop the tools from working; your preferences simply will not be remembered.
